Will you be saved?
Every human being knows there is a God. Of course, there are those who deny it, but the Bible speaks of man's inner realization of God's existence, and also man's strenuous efforts to suppress that knowledge because of his own guilt.
"For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because that which may be known of God is recognized by them, for God has showed it to them. For the invisible things concerning Him, from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse." (Romans 1:18-20)
So, we would not exhaust ourselves trying to convince you of something your heart already realizes; the only thing to be addressed is how you and I can be saved from the guilt of our sins and reconciled to God whom we have offended. Therefore dear one, let us set before you the facts of the "Gospel", a word that refers to the good news that you and I can be saved. Think carefully about these things:
1) The Penalty Decreed By God For Our Sins Is Death. - "The soul that sins, it shall die." (Ezekiel 18:4). The word "death" in the Bible never refers simply to an end of our existence, but to separation; separation of body and soul at the end of this earthly life, and eternal separation of the soul from God in hell for those who come to judgement day in their sins. "It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment." (Hebrews 9:27).
There are false religions that claim God may choose to forgive sins simply because He can, but this is a lie which defames God's character, for He "will by no means clear the guilty." (Exodus 34:7). He is not an unjust Judge who may simply bend the rules according to His own whim. No, the penalty He has decreed will certainly be exacted in every case.
2) God Has Made A Way For Sinners To Be Saved. - "God demonstrated his love for us, in that, while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8) God's Way of salvation is His Son, The Lord Jesus Christ, who gave Himself as a Substitute to bear the penalty for sins for all who would trust Him. This is the penalty Jesus suffered when He died on the cross at Calvary, so that God "might be just, and the justifier of him which believes in Jesus." (Romans 3:26)
3) Sinners Are Saved By Faith In Christ Alone. - "For by grace are you saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9). False religion tells us that we must earn God's forgiveness by our own efforts, but the truth is that Christ's payment of your penalty is God's free gift of love, not something purchased by man's attempts to bribe Him.
4) God Will Save YOU If You Will Come To Him As A Sinner, Trusting His Son As Your Own Saviour. - "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved." (Acts 16:31). God's invitation to live forever with Him as His forgiven, adopted child is freely set before every person who reads these words. The only condition is that you abandon all thoughts of your own righteousness, acknowledge your guilt before God, and trust Christ alone, whose blood is the only acceptable payment to set you free. "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28)
What will you do with Jesus Christ? Will you trust Him or reject Him? May God help you to believe on Him with all your heart.
